It was a big week for area builders as several members of the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association brought back awards from the Alabama Remodeling Excellence Awards banquet in Prattville.
The awards were presented by the Home Builders Association of Alabama and recognized remodelers, contractors, kitchen and bath designers, and other building professionals for their outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail.
ARC Design-Build was a big winner that night with six awards, Steve Steele Custom Homes had four, and Stoddard Construction came back to town with a pair of awards.
The local winners (and the categories) were: ARC - first and third place, bath remodel under $20,000; third place, bath remodel over $50,000; first place, addition under $100,000; third place, exterior remodel; and second place, space renovation. Steele - first place, exterior remodel; first place, whole house remodel under $250,000; third place, addition $100,000-$250,000; and third place, outdoor living. Stoddard - first place, kitchen remodel under $40,000 and second place, addition $100,000-$250,000. Derrick Design & Remodeling - first place, addition over $250,000. Southern Construction & Design - third place, addition under $100,000.
